Can you Cancel an Order?

Yes, you can cancel a Blue Apron order–if the order has not been processed. Once an order has been processed, this means that it cannot be changed, which includes cancellations.

How to Cancel a Blue Apron Order

If you want to cancel your Blue Apron order, the first thing you need to do is log onto your Blue Apron account. From there, go into the Account Settings section. From there, look at the page which lists your upcoming orders. You will see orders listed by recipe, which includes the estimated arrival date along with a notice that says: “Changeable before (Date).” If this date has passed, that means you cannot cancel your order. If this date has not passed, it means you may possibly be able to cancel you order as long as it hasn’t been processed.

If the date hasn’t passed, you will need to take the following action immediately in order to find out if your order has processed. Contact the Blue Apron Customer Experience team at [email protected] with your name, email address, and order confirmation number. Tell them that you would like to cancel this order and why. If the order hasn’t processed, they will almost certainly be able to cancel the order for you. If the order has processed, unfortunately you will be unable to cancel it and will have to pay for the order in question.

How to Change a Blue Apron Order

If you don’t want to completely cancel but only want to change, you have a bit more leeway. Orders may process quickly but they can still be changed before the recipe is shipped from the processing center. If you simply want to change your order, such as selecting a different recipe, or you would like to “skip” a current delivery for the moment, you can do so as long as the “changeable before (date)” hasn’t yet passed.

If you would like to cancel an order and the processing and change-by date has passed, the most you can do is contact customer service in the hopes that they may be able to offer you some type of compensation. However, according to Blue Apron’s terms of service, you are fully responsible for paying for orders that have been processed, so keep that in mind.
